This combination allows it to treat certain infections that amoxicillin alone cannot. Pediatric (less severe infections): 25 mg/kg/day by mouth, divided every 12 hours.
Adults with difficulty swallowing: 400mg/57mg per 5mL suspension may be used in place of the 875 mg tablet, by mouth every 12 hours.
