What Is Benazepril 10mg?
Benazepril is the generic version of Lotensin, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It works by relaxing blood vessels so blood flows more easily, which lowers blood pressure. Benazepril is taken as a once- or twice-daily tablet, either alone or together with other blood pressure medicines such as thiazide diuretics. It is also available in a fixed combination with amlodipine (amlodipine/benazepril HCl) for patients who need more than one medication to control their blood pressure.
