What Is Benazepril 5mg?
Benazepril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor sold under the brand name Lotensin. It works by relaxing blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood. Benazepril is FDA-approved to treat hypertension in adults and in children 6 years and older, used alone or combined with other antihypertensive medicines such as thiazide diuretics. It is taken by mouth as a tablet, typically once daily.
