What Is Buspirone HCL 5mg?
Buspirone HCL is an oral anti-anxiety medication originally sold under the brand name Buspar. It works differently from benzodiazepines, acting on serotonin and dopamine receptors in the brain to help reduce feelings of anxiety, tension, and worry. It is not a controlled substance and is not associated with physical dependence. Buspirone typically takes 2 to 4 weeks of consistent use to reach its full effect, so it is intended for ongoing management rather than as-needed use.
