What Is Enalapril 10mg?
Enalapril is a prescription medication in the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor class, sold under the brand name Vasotec. It blocks an enzyme that narrows blood vessels, which helps lower blood pressure and reduces the workload on the heart. Doctors prescribe enalapril for hypertension, symptomatic heart failure, and asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction. It is taken by mouth as a tablet, usually once or twice daily as directed by your provider.
What Does Enalapril 10mg Treat?
High blood pressure (hypertension)
Symptomatic heart failure (with diuretics and digitalis)
Asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction
Reducing hospitalization risk in heart failure
Blood pressure control to lower cardiovascular risk
Enalapril 10mg Dosage
