Lisinopril-hydrochlorothiazide is a combination tablet containing two blood pressure medicines. Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor that relaxes blood vessels, while hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps the body eliminate excess salt and fluid. Together, they lower blood pressure more effectively than either medicine alone for many patients. The 20-12.5 mg strength contains 20 mg of lisinopril and 12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide and is taken once daily as directed by your provider.

Do not take with or within 36 hours of sacubitril/valsartan (Entresto)
Contraindicated in patients with anuria or sulfonamide allergy
Avoid combining with aliskiren in patients with diabetes
Use caution with potassium supplements, potassium-sparing diuretics, lithium, and NSAIDs
