Lisinopril-hydrochlorothiazide is a combination tablet containing two blood pressure medicines. Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor that relaxes blood vessels, while hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps the body eliminate excess salt and fluid. Together, they lower blood pressure more effectively than either medicine alone for many patients. The 20-12.5 mg strength contains 20 mg of lisinopril and 12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide and is taken once daily as directed by your provider.
