What Is Ramipril 10mg?
Ramipril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, sold under the brand name Altace. It works by relaxing blood vessels, which lowers blood pressure and reduces the workload on the heart. Doctors prescribe ramipril for hypertension, to lower the risk of heart attack, stroke, and cardiovascular death in patients at high risk, and to treat heart failure following a heart attack. It is taken by mouth as a capsule, usually once or twice daily.
