What Is Sacubitril/Valsartan 97mg/103mg?
Sacubitril/valsartan is a prescription tablet that combines two medicines: sacubitril, a neprilysin inhibitor, and valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker. Together they relax blood vessels, reduce strain on the heart, and help the body eliminate excess fluid and sodium. It is FDA-approved to lower the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization in adults with chronic heart failure, with benefits most clearly seen in patients whose ejection fraction is below normal. The 97mg/103mg strength is the standard maintenance (target) dose for most adults.
