Triamterene-hydrochlorothiazide 37.5-25mg is a prescription tablet that combines two water pills: hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic, and triamterene, a potassium-sparing diuretic. Hydrochlorothiazide helps the kidneys remove extra salt and water, which lowers blood pressure and reduces swelling. Triamterene helps offset the potassium loss that hydrochlorothiazide can cause. Triamterne-Hydrochlorothiazide 37.5-25mg Dosage
Take 1 tablet (37.5-25mg) by mouth once daily.
May increase to 2 tablets once daily or 1 tablet twice daily as directed by your provider.
Maximum: 2 tablets (75-50mg total) per day.
