What Is Levothyroxine 137mcg?
Levothyroxine is a man-made version of thyroxine (T4), the hormone naturally produced by your thyroid gland. When the thyroid does not make enough hormone — a condition called hypothyroidism — levothyroxine restores normal hormone levels, helping regulate energy, metabolism, and body temperature. It is one of the most commonly prescribed medications in the United States and is also sold under the brand name Synthroid. What Does Levothyroxine 137mcg Treat?
Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid)
Hypothyroidism due to Hashimoto's thyroiditis

Levothyroxine 137mcg Dosage
Hypothyroidism (adults): approximately 1.6 mcg/kg by mouth once daily on an empty stomach, 30–60 minutes before breakfast.
Titrate in 12.5–25 mcg increments every 4–6 weeks based on TSH levels.
Take at least 4 hours apart from calcium, iron, and antacids.
