Nystatin triamcinolone 100,000 - 0.1% ointment is a prescription topical medicine that contains two active ingredients: nystatin, an antifungal that stops the growth of Candida yeast on the skin, and triamcinolone acetonide, a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, swelling, itching, and redness. It is the generic equivalent of the brand Mycolog-II. It is used for cutaneous candidiasis — Candida skin infections that commonly occur in warm, moist skin folds. It works only on Candida infections and is not effective against other types of fungal or bacterial skin infections.
