Clobetasol 0.05% ointment is a prescription topical corticosteroid, one of the strongest available in its class. It is applied to the skin to relieve the inflammation and itching of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses, including plaque psoriasis and severe eczema. Because of its potency, clobetasol is intended for short-term use on limited areas of the body. It is available as an ointment as well as other forms, such as clobetasol propionate foam, which your prescriber may choose based on the treatment area.

Clobetasol 0.05% Ointment Dosage
Apply a thin layer to the affected area twice daily; rub in gently.
Limit treatment to 2 consecutive weeks; do not exceed 50 g per week.
Do not use with occlusive dressings unless directed by your prescriber.
