What Is Dapsone 100mg?
Dapsone is an oral sulfone antibacterial medication available in 100mg tablets. It is FDA-approved to treat dermatitis herpetiformis, a chronic blistering skin condition, and all forms of leprosy (Hansen's disease), usually as part of combination therapy. Dapsone works by interfering with bacterial folic acid synthesis and by calming certain inflammatory processes in the skin. It is taken by mouth, typically once daily, and requires a prescription and periodic blood monitoring.
