Ivermectin 1% cream (Soolantra) is a prescription topical medication approved by the FDA to treat the inflammatory lesions of rosacea in adults. Ivermectin has both anti-inflammatory and antiparasitic properties, and it may work in part by reducing Demodex mites, which are thought to contribute to rosacea.
