What Is Chlorthalidone 50mg?
Chlorthalidone is a prescription thiazide-like diuretic, commonly known as a water pill. It lowers blood pressure and reduces swelling by helping the kidneys flush extra salt and water out of the body through urine. Fluid retention caused by corticosteroid or estrogen therapy
Chlorthalidone 50mg Dosage
Hypertension: 25 mg by mouth once daily; may increase to 50 mg once daily if needed.
Edema: 50–100 mg by mouth once daily, or 100 mg every other day.
