What Is Tamoxifen 20mg?
Tamoxifen is a prescription medication in the selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) class, sold under the brand name Nolvadex. It blocks estrogen from binding to receptors in breast tissue, which can slow or stop the growth of hormone receptor–positive breast cancer cells. Tamoxifen is used to treat breast cancer in women and men, and to lower the chance of developing invasive breast cancer in women at high risk, including those with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). It is taken by mouth as a tablet, typically once daily.

Risk reduction / DCIS: 20 mg by mouth once daily for 5 years.
